Meet the Artist
Jormilit Garcia, currently based in Kalamazoo, MI, is a rising star in the jazz world. She’s a standout vocalist in the Jazz Studies program at Western Michigan University and a member of the nationally acclaimed Jason Max Ferdinand Singers, having performed at elite venues like Lincoln Center and The Kennedy Center alongside luminaries such as Jacob Collier. With deep Miami ties, she’s sung backup for global icons including The Wailers, Shakira, Gloria Estefan, and Pedro Capó. In Kalamazoo, she performs with Gold Company, directed by Greg Jasperse. Jormilit’s performances are a heartfelt celebration of Latin identity, storytelling, and musical mastery.
