Dabney & Co. is actively seeking a motivated and skilled Bartender/Barback to join our vibrant team. This pivotal role involves essential responsibilities such as maintaining a fully stocked bar for service, stepping in as a bartender when necessary, and ensuring the bar area is clean and organized.

Responsibilities:

• Inventory Management: Keep the bar consistently stocked with the necessary glassware, ingredients, and bartending tools.
• Drink Preparation: Assist in the creation of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages tailored to customer preferences.
• Customer Assistance: Provide guidance and recommendations to patrons, addressing their queries, assisting in product selection, and resolving questions.
• Order Management: Accurately record and process food and beverage orders using the Point of Sale system, coordinating with team members.
• Food Safety and Hygiene: Uphold high standards of food safety and hygiene throughout all preparation and handling processes.
• Customer Care: Deliver attentive, prompt, and courteous service to all guests.
• Glassware Management: Ensure glassware is polished, cleaned, and stored appropriately.
• Bar Setup: Prepare the bar area for service, adhering to safety, hygiene, and security standards.
• Support for Special Needs: Accommodate guests with special needs, following appropriate guidelines and standards.
• Payment Processing: Securely handle transactions, ensuring the protection of personal information.
• Alcohol Safety: Implement measures to prevent overconsumption of alcohol and arrange safe transportation for intoxicated guests.
• Service Orientation: Actively seek ways to assist and support guests.

Required Competencies:

• Mixology Knowledge: Comprehensive understanding of spirits, wines, and beers.
• Regulatory Knowledge: Awareness of the laws and regulations regarding the serving of alcoholic beverages.
• Bar Equipment Proficiency: Experience with bar equipment such as cocktail shakers, blenders, and cutting boards.
• TIPS Certification: Certification in Training for Intervention ProcedureS, indicating a commitment to responsible alcohol service.

Requirements:

• At least 18 years of age.
• Previous experience in bartending and cocktail creation.
• Professional and efficient work ethic under pressure.
• Excellent communication skills and openness to procedural feedback and improvements.
• A proven history of exceptional customer service in a fast-paced environment.
• Willingness to work evenings and weekends as required.
